Ecla - Multi-Campus Housing & Lifestyle Platform
The challenge
Ecla Paris Massy-Palaiseau is an international co-living campus offering studios, shared spaces, services, and events near Plateau de Saclay and Paris. The existing platform was initially designed to support only a single campus—Massy Palaiseau—but as new campuses were added, the system needed to scale.
The challenge was to redesign the platform to support multi-campus content, allowing users to browse, search, and reserve accommodations and services according to their preferred location. The platform also needed enhancements in the housing search and reservation flow, along with an updated design to improve usability.
The solution
I was fully responsible for the full-stack redesign and development of the platform. Here’s what I delivered:
- Multi-Campus Support: Refactored the platform to manage all content types—accommodations, common spaces, services, and events—by campus.
- Improved Search Flow: Enhanced the housing search process by allowing users to filter results based on their selected campus.
- Streamlined Reservation: Refactored the housing reservation workflow for better user experience and clarity.
- Complete UI Redesign: Modernized the design across the entire site for a cleaner and more intuitive user experience.
Tech Stack Used:
- Backend: Symfony
- Frontend: HTML, Sass, and jQuery
The Impact
- Scalability: The platform can now support multiple campuses, making it future-ready for Ecla’s expansion.
- User-Centric Improvements: The redesigned search and reservation flow helped users easily find and book accommodations that meet their needs.
- Modernized Design: The visual overhaul improved usability and overall user satisfaction.
- Centralized Campus Management: Admins can now manage all housing, services, and events across multiple campuses in one place.
