The challenge
To simplify and secure money transfers in the Congolese market, there was a need to develop a robust digital platform that supported transactions via mobile money and bank cards (Visa, Mastercard).
The challenge went beyond creating a basic transfer system. It required building a complete financial ecosystem, including:
- A web-accessible platform for users.
- A system specifically tailored for merchants.
- An API for third-party integrations
The solution
I was responsible for the full-stack development of the MAKUTA platform. Here’s what I delivered:
- Transaction Management: Secure tracking and handling of all financial transactions.
- User Account Management: Registration, authentication, and profile management for users and merchants.
- Security Policy Implementation: Developed robust security measures to safeguard all operations on the platform.
API Integrations:
- Integrated Orange Money API for mobile money transactions.
- Integrated Equity Bank API for bank transfers.
